CARL KLEINER

Carl Kleiner creates a wide range of interesting, funny, shocking, and strong imagery, all of which uses physical objects. Whether in installations, photoshoots or to create illustrations, Kleiner only ever uses real, photographed objects.

SARAH GERATS

Sarah Gerats is a multi-media artists, who uses photography and installation in most of her work.
She often experiments with reflection and projection and hardly ever presents her works as prints.

These sets of photographs using mirrors is what first caught my eye. Gerat has carefully positioned the mirror, then posed and photographed herself, so that not all of her body is on show. In these images Gerat questions the male gaze and the female body.

LETS GET PHYSICAL

Phillippe Jarrigeon work consists of props and objects arranged and photographed, they seem effortless but contain a depth of absurdity, funniness and interest that could only be created with the use of his broad prop collection.

Jenny Sommers again uses only physical objects in her work and has appeared in advertisements and magazines. With features of reflection, lighting and smoke she transforms simple set ups into engaging images.

"The Supernatural World in Which I Am Professionally Involved"

It's really nice to see these paintings by Gordon Terry, which are inspired by the supernatural. He has managed to make art look so original from such a common media.
The abstract cellular structures appear scientific and so detailed, yet are created with blobs of acrylic paint.

SEVEN YEARS BAD LUCK

Somehow I managed to break my wall mirror today. It was horrible, but I can’t help but to see the beautiful side. I thought this image of the broken mirror's reflection felt dream like and it may even become relevant in this project.

HORT

A simple geometric piece by Hort, elements of 3D add depth and playfulness. It just goes to show that some of the most uncomplicated images are the most interesting.

FABRICLIVE PROMOTION

FABRIC always have some great promotional artwork on offer, often using collage work by a number of illustrators.

This van stops outside my flat nearly everyday I am fascinated with it's handmade signage...

UNITED VISUAL ARTISTS

United Visual Artist's work mainly consists of lighting, below are images from the Volume at the V&A.

I think that using light in this way - an unnatural way, is beautiful. It changes the whole look and most importantly feel of an environment, especially in this enclosed area. It allows the users to interact with the art not only visually but physically.
